Memorial Day in the City
Long weekends often bring in crowds to San Francisco from near and far. With Memorial Day just around the corner it’s time to start thinking about how you will commemorate and spend the upcoming 3-day weekend. For starters, Memorial Day is a day of honor and remembrance. One of the largest events of the weekend is held at the National Cemetery in the Presidio on Monday, May 27th. Beginning at 10:30am, this Memorial Day Ceremony commences with a parade followed by a formal program consisting of speeches from local politicians and veterans. Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, has a jam-packed schedule this Memorial Day Weekend. Starting Friday, May 24th the Giants will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in what will be a three game series continued into the weekend.
